Harris - Sara Watkins - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Sara Watkins Harris, 77, of Divernon, Ill., died Saturday in Ben Hur Nursing Home. Mrs. Harris was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clio Club and Women’s Society of Christian Services, all of Divernon, and the Divernon Public Library Board. She was born July 30, 1902, a daughter of Gomer J. and Elizabeth Wilson Watkins. She was a graduate of Divernon High School and attended Illinois State Normal School at Bloomington. On June 20, 1931, she was married to George W. Harris, who died in 1975. Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Fogle and Mary Lynn Harris, both of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Carl Barnes of Divernon; and five grandchildren, Jennifer and George Edward Fogle and Nancy, Barbara and Terrance Edward Harris. Services were to be this afternoon in Bramley Funeral Home at Divernon with burial in Brush Creek Cemetery. – jlr
